Has anybody ever bought a laptop computer in Japan

Has anybody ever bought a laptop computer in Japan?
I am going to visit Japan next month and I would like to get the Fujitsu webmart new laptop. I am just wondering if the operation system is in English. Can anybody help? Thanks a lot!

Answer 2 :
If you buy laptop in Japan, then they are Japanese OS. You can buy English OS separately and install it.
Answer 3 :
I am typing this on a laptop purchased in Japan. You can set XP to either English or Japanese, so that is not a problem. The major problem is the keyboard. If you get the standard Japanese keyboard, you get extra keys for Japanese kanji, a couple of keys that are located in different areas of the keyboard (e.g., parantheses, @, colon, semicolon), and smaller spacebar and right shift key. It takes a while to get used to, especially if you switch back and forth between English and Japanese keyboards. With some laptops, you get the option of choosing an English version keyboard. Hope this helps.
Answer 4 :
OS is basically in Japanese only. Be ware. don't install English Windows to some special and elaborate designed PC sold in Japan. such as SONY Vaio, NEC. Probably the one of Fujitsu you are going buy is ok. But you need to find and install proper drivers as well. Fujitsu models have both Office2003 installed model and no Office. Buy Office English version by yourself
