will my internet on my laptop work in japan?
my mom took my laptop to japan before and told me she couldnt the internet. im not sure if its because she didnt know how to connect or that my laptop couldnt pick up any wifi? im a bit iffy on bringing it if i cant use internet. i have a toshiba laptop btw

Nah, their Internet is way too fast. Your laptop will explode upon connection.

It will work, you just need to find either a open wifi network, or be allowed to use a "private" one. If you are using Windows, it will take care of all the settings, asuming the network itself is connected to the internet,

Yes you can use your wifi in Japan. Depending on where your at you have to pay for it. A lot of places don't really have WiFi. Most hotels don't have wifi you need a power adaptor, because most American computers have the plugs with 3 prongs, but Japanes usually only have the outlet with two. You can ask for one at the check in desk and also a cord to plug it in. But if you don't think you'll use the computer a lot don't bother. Easier to fly without one, LOL
