Can I charge my USA bought Toshiba Satellite L505 in Japan?
I am going to Japan at the end of the month and am wondering if I will be able to plug my Toshiba Satellite into the outlets and charge it. The laptop was purchased here in the US. I know it will plug into the wall, but Japan runs at a lower voltage and I am wondering if it will charge. I had plugged in my US bought sony camcorder before in Japan and it charged just fine, just wondering if my laptop will since I am needing it for my online college classes. Thanks.

Answer 1 :
You can buy plug adapters and voltage converters at any travel store. They should be able to tell you exactly what you'd need. I've never been to Japan, but I've used voltage converters and plug adapters with my laptop in Europe before with no problems.

You say that you are in the USA which is 110v The voltage in Japan is 100v. Most AC mains adapters work on a range of 100v to 240v input. So all should be ok Dont know about the type of plugs though
