Is it true that the main manufacturer of ACER LAPTOPS is CHINA?
I just had some doubts whether its china or japan. or perhaps none of them. Tnx for the answers! Additional question: How is acer aspire 4530 different from 4520? Which is better in terms of design and performance?

It's probably Taiwan. 4530 -v- 4520 the higher the model number (in a series) the more sophisticated the machine. For example the 4520 would have way more features than, say, a 4300 but the differences between a 4520 and 4530 are probably very slight

Acer is Taiwan based. They have a lot manufacturing facilities in China.

Acer is not made in China. All laptops mostly come from Taiwan. Japan does not make computers. They -used- to make their own electronics. Sony is an example. They now make themeverywhere from Indonesia to Malaysia, as well as China, Taiwan, and Japan. Taiwan is very good quality for computer electronics. They are a tech superpower, undisputable. In 1997, Panasonic stopped manufactuing their tubes for their televisions in Japan and moved it to Malaysia. Quality suffered, and I could spot the bleeding reds on their 'PanaBlack' sets. (Always helped to have teh blackest screen on a tube set. Sony Trinitron forever, not so much XBR although those rocked too.) Now, Tubes have stopped being manufactured.

The parts for Acer laptops are manufactured mostly in Japan and Taiwan, although they are assembled in China.

Acer's main and largest manufacturing facilities are located in the Industrial zone in mainland China. However, their headquarters and R&D center are still based in Taiwan. BTW, all Acer's manufacturing facilities in mainland China are managed and operated by their executives dispatched from the Headquarters in Taiwan. Acer products are certainly nothing to do with Japan in terms of production
