Are wireless switches on laptops repairable?
I bought a Sony Vaio in Japan and brought it back to America with me, and recently the wireless switch that enables wireless networking broke. I was wondering if it's possible to fix it and what it would roughly cost.

They probably are fixable but cost will depend on who does it. Get estimates first. Try Staples or OfficeMax.

I worked on a clients HP Laptop she bough it Spain and brought it back to the US. Her laptop was 2 days out of warranty and the LCD stopped working. I had her call HP very determined. They had an Account Manager call her back. HP paid for shipping to and from and fixed it for free. The warranty is still honored if not expired. Verify your warranty has not expired and then contact Sony. Also google sony replacement parts. It is an inexpensive part to purchase but not very easy to replace. Hopefully, they will repair it for you. If not purchase the part and have a tech savvy friend install it for you or contact a pro
