i purchased a gateway japan version laptop,,and it is quite ok,,have no problems at all,,,but then i tried?
now to convert it to english,,,,,when i started to format,,,my laptop cannot continue,,because,,it detects that he cannot find a hard disk on my computer....,,i already have tried to covert other laptops,,but i failed in this one,,i think the gateway has other setup about the laptop,,,,i really need you help and advice..

If that was through XP format, then try formatting it with a different Disk manager software. Make sure that the problem is not with the Hardware. If it is a hardware problem, then you will need to read about the HDD in your laptop. Worst case is replacing your HDD. Make sure that the place you buy it from will accept returns
