Is the contract of 12 month Skype credit bought from Japan valid in other countries

Is the contract of 12 month Skype credit bought from Japan valid in other countries?
Now I'm in Japan and going to buy 12 month Skype credit. It's 793.50 Japanese Yen including VAT. Can I use Skype with the same conditions if I move out to somewhere in Europe or USA? And Can I use Skype with the same conditions anywhere out of Japan if I bring my laptop with me?

I haven't been in your personal situation, but I've traveled throughout Europe and the U.S. with the same account/payment/credits, without ever having the slightest of problems. From my experience (as a user and as a programmer), I *think* you should be fine. I would check the Skype website to make sure though, they have an extensive policy

My friend is visiting from Japan and is bringing his laptop. How can he use the laptop here

My friend is visiting from Japan and is bringing his laptop. How can he use the laptop here?
Does it matter which brand he is bringing? He needs it for work. He'going to be traveling around the country so he would need access anywhere. Is there a special attachment he needs? How about using a cell phone? Could there be a connection through that?

Answer 1 :
Japan uses the standard outlet. As far as the phone goes, though, well, maybe a prepaid is the only way.
Answer 2 :
It does not matter where he comes from and where he goes.... the laptop has an adapter and it will automatically adapt to the power differences. (it's only the physical plug difference could be an issue). The dial-in is not an issue at all (mobile, fast Ethernet, wireless, broadband, etc...) you just need to configure the system to the new connection (normally 15 min. if you have all the information). The only existing issue..... is the language on the laptop ;- ) Which means he has to configure it himself.
Answer 3 :
it doesn't matter, a laptop has a universal adaptor (120-220V) His cellphone couldn't be used for Japan uses a different network (4G? haha)
Answer 4 :
It doesnt matter now laptops work all over the world via wifi
