Answer 1 :
Popular in Japan are: Toshiba (Dynabook) Fujitsu (Biblo) Hitachi (Prius) Sony (Vaio) other popular firms are NEC,Dell,HP,Lenovo (IBM), some Acer,Asus,Panasonic,Onkyo and Sharp I don̢۪t see Samsung often and haven̢۪t seen any LG in Japan Panasonic and Sharp laptops are surpassing quality in my opinion.
Answer 2 :
Sony and Toshiba are pretty average. Get a MSI or Asus gaming laptop. Or IBM if you're looking for something for work. As for desktop, build your own or get 1 custom made. Brand don't really apply to computer since all the hardware are usually done by another company.
Answer 3 :
The top PC/Laptop brand in Japan has to be either Toshiba or the Sony Vaio with Fujitsu and NEC coming a close third. I have used and own all the above brands and from my experience my favourite has to be the Sony Vaio.
Answer 4 :
I think Fujitsu is the top selling PC brand in Japan and they make laptop in Japan while others make laptop in China, Vietnam etc. 2nd is NEC

Answer 1 :
I actually tried buying one from that very website, and they won't do it. They wouldn't do it by phone either. You can try to buy from the Japanese Dell website if you have a Japanese friend help you, or if you're feeling very adventurous, you can run both versions of the websites. They look exactly the same, so if you know what you want, find it on the English site, then switch over to the Japanese one and click in the same spot. I was going to do that, but I didn't have the courage.
Answer 2 :
The best way to do that would be to get a friend or family member to buy it for you in the USA, then ship it through www.fbcusa.com. They are safe and reliable

Shipping Laptop from US to Japan
Shipping Laptop from US to Japan?
Hi, I'm currently studying in Japan right now, and my laptop broke. I want to ask if my parent send me a new laptop from the US (Chicago) to Tokyo Japan about how much will it cost? Should my parents take the laptop out from its original box and put into the boxes at US post office? Or they should just mail the whole box (Original packing). Thank you!

Answer 1 :
Honestly, I would have them keep it in the box for a few reasons. 1) Better security. If the laptop gets pushed around or dropped, or something like that (which it will) going on its long journey, it's more secure in the original box. 2) It might cost just a little extra, but it would be worth it. As for the exact price, I would not be able to tell you because it is usually based on weight and size, neither of which you told in your description. 3) ITS MORE FUN!! Its like Christmas in July.... well, November anyway. Would you rather get your brand new laptop, in it's brand new shiny box, and be the first one to open it up and peel all the protective stuff off? Doesn't that just feel awesome! Or, would you rather pull it out of a brown piece of extra thick paper and maybe go... yay... it here? If I were you, I would keep it in the original packaging. HOPE THIS HELPS!
Answer 2 :
Ask them to send money and buy it in Japan. will get good ones for better price in Japan. Sony,Thoshiba good brands
Answer 3 :
Original boxes for laptops are fairly strong. Usually when laptops are shipped to retails they are stacked. Postal boxes are fairly weak. Also get yourself some insurance, laptops are fairly expensive and sending them non-registered and non-insured is just asking for trouble
