Answer 1 :
depends wut u type in like in portugal (where my uncle lives) if you type something in on google it comes up with english results if u type down an english phrase but offers to translate it into portugese which means that u wil be fine as long as u remember how to write english =]
Answer 2 :
You won't need a translator. As long as the sites you currently visit are in English, they will be that way in Japan as well. Many sites have different domain name so instead of .com, in Japan, it's .jp. I know when I was in Europe at internet cafes, Yahoo for example would come up in that country's language, but I would just erase it out of the address bar and type in whatever I wanted and I had English sites...however, the keyboard was in their language and it's probably that way in Japan too, but if you are using your own computer, you should be fine.
Answer 3 :
no its in english. just remember to put .com not .co.jp
Answer 4 :
Japan doesn't have a filter that makes everything show up in Japanese, even sites that normally aren't in Japanese. While you might wind up with a temporary home page in Japanese (e.g. maybe your go to Google.jp instead of Google.com because you're on a Japanese server/ISP/whatever determines these things) every other website you go to should be in whatever language it's always in.
Answer 5 :
It will be the same as it is here.If you type in 'yahoo.com', it will be in English

Anyone know places in japan where you can charge your phone, laptop and camera batteries
Anyone know places in japan where you can charge your phone, laptop and camera batteries?
Other than your accommodation, do internet cafes or train stations offer you electricity? I need this for long term trips. Thanks.

Answer 1 :
For cell phone, you can charge it at some convenience stores or you can buy a portable charger. But there is no place to charge laptop or camera. First of all, your laptop or camera must have different voltages. Japan is 100VAC. You need a converter if you want to charge it.
Answer 2 :
I saw a cell phone charging station at Subway and I'm sure you could recharge at an internet cafe because some people stay there all night.
Answer 3 :
For mobile phones there are charging lockers at some major electronics stores. You basically pay a few hundred yen to place your phone in a locker with various AC adaptors for phones sold in Japan. Internet cafes might have space for laptops, it varies and depends on each cafe. One thing they do require is ID and some places only accept Japanese resident ID. Passports for tourists are sometimes not accepted. It is worth to try and at least ask. Also for cell phones sold in Japan, most stores sell a battery pack where you can use AA batteries to power up your mobile phone

What kinds of laptop backpacks are teenagers wearing in Japan this year
What kinds of laptop backpacks are teenagers wearing in Japan this year?
I really want to see what kind of brands and styles Japanese kids are sporting this year, is it simple, or colorful, big or small? A website link would be great :D i would like to maybe purchase one SO NAME BRANDS is important, thanks yall! I obviously know not everyone is wearing the exact same thing. What im saying is what is the "it" thing right now in Japan.. Like how TNA was the IT thing for many teenage girls in 2009. Fashion comments. common dont be dumb people.

Answer 1 :
You cannot assume that every kid in Japan is following the same trends. It may be a small country, but Japan is extremely diverse. The biggest fad right now is actually individuality. That often means things that are flashy and over-the-top, but for many can also mean simple and sleek. When it comes to big or small, small is generally preferred for everyone except for those who like to carry around a lot of stuff. Small is modern. Often people get computer bags from the company they bought them from. Sony and Toshiba are the top two brands in Japan right now. However, beyond that brand doesn't usually make a difference. Some will choose to get an expensive brand to give themselves a higher stature, but that is rare due to the Japanese custom of humbling oneself. So, as long as you like the look of it it's good. whatjapanthinks.com is a great source for studying Japanese trends. Also, try this search on amazon.co.jp http://www.amazon.co.jp/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?__mk_ja_JP=%83J%83%5E%83J%83i&url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=laptop+bag&x=0&y=0 To find things you like to look for on your favorite shopping sites(don't order straight from amazon japan though because shipping is very high)
