Answer 1 :
I'd expect the Satellite A300 and A500 to be made in China (since they are the consumer models that typically aren't even made by Toshiba and even Tecras are being made in China).
Answer 2 :
Go to Japan... Or you can check the official website of Toshiba. And see about their market place of their products which are made in Japan.
Answer 3 :
i don't really care is it made it China or Japan, the only concern is that where I could buy it in Sydney ? Toshiba Satellite A300/500, thanks

How do I log onto runescape from Japan

How do I log onto runescape from Japan?
I am currently in Okinawa, on the same laptop I have used for over a year to play Runescape while in the states, and whenever I try to go to runescape.com it says that it cannot be found. Any ideas? Grrr. I tried that Joe, and it didn't seem to work.

Answer 1 :
clear temporary internet files, cookies, and refresh your browser cache? Maybe that will help
Answer 2 :
Whoever you may be connecting to may be blocking runescape Do this start-run type CMD press OK type "ping runescape.com" If it says "timed out", then whoever you are getting internet through is blocking the site
Answer 3 :
Maybe Japanese government doesn't want you to play rs? Like the Chinese government blocks google and wikipedia...i don't see any other reason why it says not found

Does Japan use the same telephones and telephone jacks as the U.S

Does Japan use the same telephones and telephone jacks as the U.S?
Can I plug in my U.S. laptop to a Japanese phone jack to dial out or do I need a special adaptor?

Answer 1 :
Its the same kind of Jack as in the usa, in Korea! Maybe that is the case in Japan
Answer 2 :
The telephone plug is as same as the one in the US. However, most people in Japan do not use "dial-up" today. And the phone sysytem in hotel use digital signal. You won't be able to use the line for "dial-up". LAN or wireless lan (same standard with Wifi) is available in hotel. Check it ahead of time.

Is it safe to bring a Laptop While Travelling

Is it safe to bring a Laptop While Travelling?
Hi everyone. I went to Japan but unfortunately I had to leave m laptop in Manila because it contains some mp3s from the Internet. Is it safe to bring my laptop to Japan(Narita Airport) next time? Will the authorities investigate on my laptop? Is it safe for my laptop to undergo a scanning test on the airport? Im just so afraid that something will happen on my laptop if I bring it on my next journey to Japan. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Answer 1 :
no
Answer 2 :
It is very common for people to carry laptops. It will be x-rayed and nothing else unless they think you are a terrorist. Remember that you must carry it on board so that will be your hand luggage.
Answer 3 :
ive never been to japan but i wouldnt take my laptop only because i would be afraid that i would get it stolen
Answer 4 :
never take anything on a trip that you aren't willing to part with....things get taken/lost/stolen all the time, best if you really could live withou them
Answer 5 :
If you insist on taking your laptop with you, you should ensure that there is NOTHING on your hard-drive etc that can get you into trouble, some countries are really strict about stuff like that, and so they should be. Make sure that you have full travel insurance, and double check that it will cover the excessive cost of replacing a lap-top just in case anything does go wrong with it. Remember to make removable copies of ALL of your important information, because no insurance company can cover that huge loss!
Answer 6 :
my laptop has been everywhere last year it was in the middle of iraq...yes you can take your laptop with you to japan they do not have the time nor the people to open every laptop boot it up and make sure you have nothing on there that shouldnt be...take it with you
Answer 7 :
I travel from the US and I always bring my laptop, and I have never had a problem with it. The scanning test can't tell you what is in you computer, it is being scanned to make sure that there is no weapons, drugs, etc in the laptop bag and in the laptop.... that's how I always thought.
Answer 8 :
Scanning/x-ray does not damage your laptop. I have flown countless number of times, also to Japan, and my laptop is fine. They do not check your laptop when you come to the airport. If you have done something else suspicious, maybe they will, but if you are a "clean" person with no problems, they don't have time. Still, get rid of any porn or other things like that. Don't worry about downloaded mp3s, they have no way of knowing where they came from without extensive checking. I had tons of downloaded mp3s when I came into Japan, downloaded a few while in Japan and left without problems.
