Is it cheaper and more convenient to buy a Laptop in Japan rather than in the US?
Why do I have the impression that it´s cheaper to buy electronic stuff in Japan? I will go to japan in 2 weeks

In Japan, they use Yen (I think) Which is more than US dollars.

I guess so....... Anyway, check and compare the price rates on the internet. I also have that impression because the Japanese are great in electronic stuff ;) When you get there, try to look around... Still usable TVs and other electrical/electronic equipment are thrown away because it is so easy and cheap to purchase new stuff..... Have a great time in Japan........

Don't buy in Japan. Most models are in Japanese version of Windows. If you are expat in Japan, you can order BTO (built to orer) model of the HP, Toshiba, Lenovo, DELL in English WIndows, etc. Yes it is little cheaper than US. (just a bit though)
